FINDING THE PERFECT JACKET

The fit of a jacket is crucial for achieving a harmonious and elegant look. A well-fitted jacket should hug the shoulders without restricting movement, and the sleeves should end 1 to 2 cm before the shirt cuffs. The ideal length covers the buttocks without fully concealing them, and the jacket should not pull or stretch when buttoned. If it's too tight or too loose, it will be neither comfortable nor visually appealing.

A buttoned jacket should never pull. It should gently nip in at the waist without constricting. This is particularly important for city, work, or formal suits that are expected to be worn buttoned—except, of course, when sitting. A soft, unlined jacket that you might pair with chinos or jeans can more easily be left unbuttoned.

Remember, every jacket can also be adjusted in terms of shoulder fit and tapering to perfectly match your body shape and preferences.
