La coupe d'une veste est essentielle pour sublimer votre silhouette et assurer un style harmonieux.

BASE AJUSTEE

La base ajustée est une coupe relativement près du corps. Les tailles vont en général du 44 au 56 sur ces modèles.

BASE DROITE

Cette base droite est moins près du corps que la base ajustée.

Les tailles proposées vont du 44 au 56. NB: Les modèles créés sur cette base ont, à partir de la taille 54, une gradation plus grande au niveau de la taille chez Fursac afin de permettre d’être plus à l’aise.

BASE CROISEE

La base croisée se reconnait par l’entrecroisement du col et le boutonnage décalé. Les tailles proposées vont du 44 au 56 selon les modéles.

Le blazer

On appelle généralement blazer un veston long à boutonnière croisée, le plus souvent fabriqué en flanelle légère noire ou bleue marine. Le blazer se situe entre le costume formel et la veste de sport plus décontractée. Il est plus lâche et moins structuré au niveau des épaules et de la poitrine que la veste de costume.

Plusieurs récits divergent quant à l’origine de ce vêtement. L’un d’eux fait remonter le blazer aux vestes de sport de couleurs vives que portait l’équipe de nautisme du St John’s College de Cambridge dans les années 1820. Un autre récit se focalise sur l’année 1837, lorsque le capitaine du navire HMS Blazer a fait revêtir à son équipage ds vestons croisés bleu marine avec des boutons en cuivre de la Royal Navy à l’occasion de la visite de la Reine Victoria sur son bateau. Il est également possible que le nom de blazer vienne tout simplement des «blazes» ou rayures que l’on trouvait sur les vestes des country club des années 1870.
