TROUVER LA VESTE PARFAITE

L'ajustement d'une veste est crucial pour obtenir un look harmonieux et élégant. Une bonne veste doit épouser les épaules sans gêner les mouvements, et ses manches doivent s'arrêter 1 ou 2 cm avant les poignets de la chemise. La longueur idéale couvre les fesses sans les masquer totalement, et la veste ne doit pas tirer une fois boutonnée. Si la veste est trop serrée ou trop ample, elle ne sera ni confortable ni esthétiquement plaisante.

Une veste boutonnée ne doit pas tirer. Elle doit pincer la taille sans l’étrangler. La question est particulièrement cruciale sur les costumes de ville, de travail ou de cérémonie qui imposent de garder sa veste fermée, sauf lorsque l’on s’assoit bien sur… Une veste souple, non doublée, à porter avec un chino ou un jean, tolérera plus facilement d’être laissée ouverte.

Sachez que chaque veste peut également être ajustée en fonction de la carrure et du cintrage pour s’adapter parfaitement aux goûts et à la morphologie.

Pour évaluer le bon cintrage, posez-vous les questions suivantes :
- Parvenez-vous aisément à fermer les boutons ?
- La veste tire-t-elle, quand elle est fermée ?
- Vous sentez-vous à l’aise ?
- Regardez les fentes arrière de votre veste. Elles sont susceptibles de s’ouvrir lorsque vous vous asseyez, mais doivent rester closes lorsque vous êtes debout.

Le test des lacets

Faites le test de nouer vos lacets avec la veste à l’essai. Si c’est impossible, que vous n’arrivez pas à vous baisser, la veste est trop petite. Si c’est aisé, si vous ne sentez aucune résistance, elle est trop grande. L’idéal est évidemment l’entre-deux.
